Cats and Dogs As the Avian Flu Virus’ Adaptor?

A research in Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia, has proven that cats which eat raw chickens or other birds have the ability to become the adaptor of H5N1 virus, the Avian Flu virus. Being an adaptor of the virus means that cats have biological tools to change the structure and/or the function of the virus.

But you have to realize that cats and dogs are not only susceptible to the avian flu, but also Rabies, Toxoplasma, and many more if they are on the lose and have no owner to take care of them.

But for cat and dog lovers out there, do not worry. The avian flu virus can get to your pets only if they eat raw poultry that are already infected by the virus. So, do not feed them with raw poultry.

One more thing to remember, this virus can easily be terminated. All it takes is soap or alcohol or any disinfectant.
