Overweight Dogs

There are some dog breeds that have the tendency to be fat or everweight. These breeds include American C. Spaniel, Basset Hound, Beagle, Cairn Terrier, C.K. Charles Spanie, Collie, Dachshund, Labrador Retriever, Norwegian Elkhound, and Shetland Sheepdog.
Even so, you have to pay attention to their diets to avoid obesity.
Overweight dogs usually have diet imbalance: their intake is more than the energy thay spend or let out. You have to remeber that being overweight or under-weight can affect a dog's health.
There are also some other reasons why a dog can be overweight. Some of them are diabetic and metabolism diseases like hiperadrenokotism. After a dog is being sterilized, it is usually less active than usual and it can cause the dog to become overweight.
A veterinarian in Jakarta, did a survey on dogs' obesity. The result was that dogs that suffer from obesity usually have owners who also suffer from obesity.

You have given your dog its meal. Then as you watch TV while eating some snack, you give some snack for your dog.
Make sense.
What you can do is:

• Reduce 40% of your dog's meals. Or give dog food that can control obesity.
• Give more activities: jogging, playing catch, strolling, etc.
• Do not give snack of any kind.
• Consult to a vet, there may be a health problem causing the obesity.
