A hypothetical case…
You are all alone at home or at the office or on your way home from the office.
You’re already tense and not feeling so well. Suddenly you feel a sharp pain on your chest and the pain slowly moves to your arms and chin.
You might be experiencing a heart attack.
If our heart cannot beat normally and you feel like fainting, you only have about 10 seconds before you lose consciousness. Only 10 seconds.
What can you do?
Well, YOU have to save yourself!
First, you have to stay calm and do not panic.
Then cough!
That’s right! COUGH!
Take a deep breath then cough, as hard and as extreme as you can possibly do.
Every two seconds, take a deep breath then cough.
Keep going until help arrives or you feel your heartbeat is back to normal.
The purpose of taking deep breaths is to get oxygen into your lungs
And the purpose of coughing is to put pressure on your heart so that your blood can circulate better. Putting pressure to your heart can also help your heart to get its normal rhythm of beating.
